Who We Are

The understanding of Human Rights is the key to respect and tolerance.

We are United for Human Rights, an all volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to providing educators with effective and exciting materials and tools they can use to easily incorporate human rights into their curriculum.

Free to educators, these videos and curricula, for middle school, high school and adults, give teachers and educators everywhere a resource to help bring the concepts of human rights to life and make them a reality in the hearts, minds and actions of those who study the subject—and it can be done right online.

At United for Human Rights, we also work to increase the awareness of human rights through supporting and disseminating the landmark document, The Universal Declaration of Human Rights and its 30 articles, created in 1948 as a solution to the atrocities of human rights abuses as then experienced by two horrifying world wars.

Our Youth for Human Rights is an independent division which teaches youth about human rights, specifically the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and inspires them to become advocates for tolerance and peace. YHRI has grown into a global movement over the last ten years, including hundreds of groups, clubs and chapters around the world.

This site is dedicated to educators and human rights supporters everywhere and we warmly invite you to participate in any way you choose.
